Rural Route 6 is an online community built for people who love animals.
Whether you have horses, livestock, a hobby farm, a backyard flock, rescue animals, or simply a passion for animal life, you’ll find people here who understand the experiences, challenges, and rewards that come with caring for them.
Rural Route 6 was built by members of the animal community for the animal community. It’s a place to share photos, stories, questions, knowledge, and everyday experiences while connecting with others who share similar interests and values.
Rural Route 6 was created because many online communities no longer feel like communities. Too often, algorithms, advertising, and corporate priorities shape what people see and how they interact online. We wanted to create something different, where meaningful conversations and genuine connections come first. That’s why membership is free and participation isn’t driven by engagement metrics or endless scrolling.
Our Community Exchange supports Rural Route 6 and the community it serves. Members can buy, sell, and promote livestock, goods, services, businesses, and other offerings relevant to the community. Listing fees from the Exchange support the platform and its continued growth while creating opportunities for members to support one another.
Built intentionally. Kept human.
